About your Innkeepers
Don was born in Liverpool, United Kingdom and immigrated to Canada
with his family when he was 6. He earned a BS and MA from the Royal
Military College of Canada in Kingston and retired from the Canadian Armed
Forces after 37 years in the Air Force. The Inn was named after Don's English family surname, Tymparon.
Zoe was born in Lancaster, PA,
lived in Montreal with her parents for 3 years during high school, earned a BS
from Duke University in Durham, NC
and an MBA from Northeastern University in
Boston, MA. After 29 years of corporate marketing and public relations in the states, she retired and
moved to Kingston to share life with Don and fulfill their dream of operating a B&B.
Tymparon Hall in England
If you are traveling to the Lake District in England, we recommend you
consider staying at Tymparon Hall, an 18th century country Manor House located
between Penrith and Lake Ullswater. When Don was visiting England a number
of years ago, he had the pleasure to stay there and thoroughly enjoyed
researching his English Tymparon heritage.
